MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.



Milledgeville Police Department

— Burglary

A man reported a break-in at his North Wilkinson Street home and the theft of two boxes of silver dollar coins sometime between 8 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. Oct. 15.   

— Underage Possession of Alcohol

An underage couple were both arrested following a drunken argument at a North Jefferson street convenience store around 1:45 a.m. Oct. 16.

— Theft by Shoplifting

A store clerk at a North Jefferson street convenience store reported the theft of Newport cigarettes by a man around 1:56 a.m. Oct. 14. While the clerk was helping other customers, the individual went behind the register and concealed the cigarettes in his clothes.

— Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported that a man attempted to leave the store with four cases of beer in a shopping cart without paying around 3:45 p.m. Oct. 15.

— Criminal Damage to Property

Police responded to an alarm call at a Laura Court Apartment complex around 8:22 p.m. Oct. 14. The officer informed the occupants that the window to their back bedroom had been broken. Two rocks were found inside the apartment by the broken glass.

— Theft by Taking

A woman reported the theft of jewelry from her Irwinton Road residence, possibly by a guest she had earlier in the day of Oct. 15.

— Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary

A woman reported finding the door to her apartment open and damage to the door at a Highway 49 address between 1 and 3 a.m. Oct. 16.
