Vehicle theft
An officer responded Feb. 8 to a Reeves Circle address in reference to a suspicious vehicle. A white Ford F-150 was parked in the curve creating a traffic hazard. The truck was not occupied, and the headlights were on. After running the vehicle’s tag, the owner was contacted. The owner said he was unaware of the vehicle’s whereabouts and confirmed that it had been stolen. The owner said he left the spare key in the ashtray and had left the vehicle unlocked. The truck was returned to his possession and was not damaged.
Theft by taking
An officer made contact with a complainant Feb. 8 at a West McIntosh Street residence in reference to a theft. A man reported that sometime the previous night someone went in his backyard and stole his grandson’s four chrome Mag rims.
