Leaving the scene of an accident
Deputies responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on Sparta Highway around 10:30 p.m. March. 10. Upon arrival, deputies noticed a car hit a large pine tree. A male, who was later identified as the driver, was seen walking east on Sparta Highway. The man was questioned about the accident and then charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Theft by taking
A man reported the theft of copper wiring from his Corral Road residence March 5. Upon further inspection, the man also discovered a pile of scrap steel was also missing from the address.
Fraud-financial identity
At approximately 1:17 p.m. March. Seven deputies responded to a report of identity fraud at an East Lakeview Drive address. A man reported that someone purchased a pair of music headphones from Best Buy in his name using his credit card.
