MILLEDGEVILLE —  

The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office

Theft by Taking

A female patient in the ER reported that an unknown man ran up to her, snatched her cell phone from her hand, and ran out the door Dec. 4. 

Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported that a woman attempted to leave the store with a pack of Christmas greeting cards, a roll of Christmas wrapping paper, two perfume gift sets, and Burt's Bees lip gloss without paying for them around 3:43 p.m. Dec. 4. 

Milledgeville Police Department

Burglary 

A woman reported a break-in at her North Pickens Street apartment on Dec. 3 around 2:57 a.m. Upon arrival officers discovered the bedroom window had been broken. A change jar with an unknown amount of change was reported missing from the apartment.  

Burglary

A storeowner of a South Wayne Street bakery reported that he drove by and noticed the front door of the business was open. Upon arrival, officers discovered the latch on the door had been broken. Approximately $45 was reported missing from the store.  

Burglary

A man reported a break-in at a East Charlton Street residence and the theft of a 22 Caliber rifle, a DVD recorder, and a clock radio Dec. 2.  

Entering Auto

A woman reported that someone took her AM/FM CD stereo out of her vehicle as it was parked at an East Hall Street address sometime between Dec. 1 and Dec. 4.

Theft by Shoplifting

An employee at a South Wayne Street store reported that two females and a male attempted to leave the store with several food items concealed in their clothes around 6 p.m. Dec. 1.
