MILLEDGEVILLE —  

The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Milledgeville Police Department

DUI

An officer witnessed a fender bender in downtown Milledgeville around 2:11 a.m. Nov. 10. The officer made contact with the driver and arrested her for driving under the influence. 

Shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported she witnessed a woman switch the boxes of two different priced toaster ovens in an attempt to pay $53 instead of $72 around 5 p.m. Nov. 10.

Entering Auto

A man was arrested and charged with entering auto following an attempted theft of auto parts from a Ga. Highway 49 auto salvage yard around 4 a.m. Nov. 14.

Obstruction of Officers

A man faces additional charges of obstruction of officers after running from officers who were inquiring about possible warrants on Prosser Road around 6 p.m. Nov. 13.

Burglary

A woman reported that someone broke into her Laura Court. apartment and stole her television sometime after 9:24 p.m. Nov. 9. 

Animals Running at Large

A man reported that he was bitten and chased by dogs in the Georgia Power parking lot around 11:43 a.m. Nov. 13. The owner of the dogs was contacted by officers and informed of the injury and the incident report.

Burglary

A man reported that someone broke into his North Wilkinson Street suite and taken a black tote bag containing $450 and a blue snubnose 38 special revolver at approximately 5 p.m. Nov. 12.
