The owner of a paint and body shop on Ga. Highway 49 West reported an unknown man was trying to break into his shop around 10:40 p.m. Feb. 5. The owner heard the AC shut off and a bumping noise against the wall of the shop. A man reported the theft of a watch from his vehicle as it was parked in the yard of a Coopers Road residence sometime between Jan. 23 and Jan. 24.

A woman received a call from her tax preparer at approximately 3:35 p.m. Feb. 6 to inform her that an unknown person had used her social security number on a tax return. A stolen identity report was filed with the IRS.
