MILLEDGEVILLE — The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office

— Criminal damage to property

A man reported Aug. 16 that he went to work around 10 p.m. Sunday and his vehicle was fine, but upon preparing for work, he discovered that his vehicle had been damaged. The man’s 2000 Ford Crown Victoria was damaged and it appeared that an unknown person had kicked all four doors, walking from the front crossing over to the roof and to the trunk of the vehicle, and the offender also broke the driver’s side mirror. The man said he could not provide anyone as a witness or a suspect, but he initially thought that it was a female until the shoe prints on the hood showed a shoe size of 10.5, which would possibly indicate a large female or more likely a male suspect.

Milledgeville Police Department

— Burglary

A woman reported Aug. 10 that she and her roommates left their house, located in the 400 block of Columbia Street, around 6 p.m. the previous day to return to their respective homes. The woman said she returned home around 9:30 a.m. to find that someone had attempted to kick in the back door, but they were unsuccessful. The woman stated that a muddy shoe print was found on the door and one of the window panes at the residence had been broken, and the window itself opened on the back side of the home. The woman said she also noticed that the back door was unlocked, and upon checking the residence, the complainant stated that nothing appeared to be missing except for her roommate’s silver Apple Macbook Pro, which had a “Don’t Waste Your Life” sticker on the keypad.
