MILLEDGEVILLE —  

The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Milledgeville Police Department

Burglary 

A man reported a break-in at his Moore Street apartment and the theft of prescription medication sometime around 2:53 a.m. Nov. 9.  He discovered his prescription Zanax and Loritab was missing. 

Theft by Deception

A former employee of an auto repair business illegally charged merchandise to his former employer Nov. 7.

Theft by Taking

A woman reported that $140 in cash was taken from her purse at approximately 4:20 p.m. Nov. 7. She gave her daughter $10 and left her purse in the room with her juvenile granddaughter. When she retrieved her purse she discovered the money was gone. 

DUI

Officers responded to an accident on West Hancock Street around 8:52 p.m. Nov. 8. Passengers in the vehicle reported that the female driver had walked away from the scene. When the female was found, and officers detected a strong alcoholic odor. Upon issuing a breath test, the driver was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane change.

Theft by Taking

A woman reported the theft of two dogs from her Doles Boulevard residence Nov. 7 around 8:40 p.m. The dogs had been tied by a leash to a tree in the front yard earlier. When she walked outside to check on them, the leashes were still attached to the tree but the dogs were missing. There was no damage to the clips attached to the ends of the leash.
