MILLEDGEVILLE —  

The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Milledgeville Police Department

Theft by Shoplifting

A Walmart loss prevention employee reported that a woman attempted to leave the store with a bag of Lays potato chips, a pack of Sprite, a pack of Kraft cheese and three containers of Dannon yogurt without paying for them around 5:27 p.m. Nov. 21. 

Entering Auto

A man reported the theft of a custom speaker box from his vehicle sometime Nov. 22.

Criminal Damage to Property

A man at a West Charlton Street residence reported that someone had keyed his car on both sides and the hood sometime in the night of Nov. 23. An obscene word was carved into the hood of the vehicle along with various scratches.  

Burglary

A man reported that someone had broke into his Jackson Street address and taken items that belonged to him and his roommate. An Xbox game console, a Toshiba laptop computer, a Samsung flat screen TV, and a pair of Sony speakers were missing from the residence. 

Theft by Taking

An owner of an auto repair business on South Elbert Street reported that someone had stolen two 4-wheeler batteries, a go-cart with a missing rear wheel, and a 4-wheeler aluminum Nerf bar with red foot straps Nov. 20.

Theft by Taking

A woman at a Hitchcock Avenue address reported the theft of two pit bull dogs Nov. 20. The owner was informed by a neighbor that she witnessed a female pick the dogs up and place them inside her car earlier in the day. 

Theft by Taking

A woman reported that a man took several pairs of her shoes and a laptop from her Belfair Drive residence sometime before Nov. 20.

Public Drunkenness

A woman was arrested and charged with public drunkenness on Ellis Street around 3:57 p.m. Nov. 20 after reports of an unknown female walking in and out of the street, singing loudly.
