The following is information compiled from public records taken from reports of the Milledgeville Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. It is our policy to not disclose the names of victims. These reports do not reflect guilt or innocence. An “arrest” does not always indicate incarceration. The charges filed are noted in the narrative.

Criminal Trespass

A man received a citation for criminal trespass after an argument with his sister in the yard of her Thomas Field Road home Dec. 19. The man was meeting his sister to receive money that their mother had given them, but an argument over the amount of the money ensued and he threatened to hit her. 

Possession of Marijuana

While patrolling the area of North Columbia Street, an officer stopped a vehicle for failure to maintain lanes. Upon speaking with the driver, he did not appear impaired but he was appeared nervous, according to the reporting officer. After a search of the vehicle, officers found less than an ounce of marijuana in a clear plastic bag. 

Affray

Two men were involved in a physical altercation following an argument at a fish fry at a Lockwood Street address Dec. 19. One man made a comment about the brother of the other man and a verbal confrontation escalated to physical contact between the two.

Burglary 

A woman reported a break-in at her West Thomas Street residence and the theft of her son's Xbox game console and controllers, 12 video games, and approximately $43 in change around 6:24 p.m. Dec. 19.
