MILLEDGEVILLE —
Custom Signs & Designs Owners Wendy and Preston Newsome have been creating and designing custom signs for various local businesses, organizations, churches and schools, bringing four decades worth of combined experience.
The family-operated business can illuminate and highlight businesses, residences and vehicles via car lettering and graphics, lighted signs, sandblasted signs, full color banners and vehicle wraps.
Among the local clientele Custom Signs & Designs has catered to include, Chaplinwood Health & Rehabilitation, Triumph, Re-Bath, Magnolia Park Apartments, Z-97, ExtraordiNailry, Georgia College, Little Caesar’s, AJ’s Wings, Aubri Lanes, Yummo Yogo, Pickle Barrel, First Presbyterian Church, Baldwin County National Children’s Study, Gils Package Store, Louie Herron Toyota, The Fun! Factory, Baldwin County Fire Rescue, and Beckham’s Used Cars.
As stated on the web site, sandblasted signs can be made from cedar, redwood or HDU foam board. As in the case of Aubri Lanes’ sign, the restaurant’s exterior sign is made from HDU foam board which gives the same rustic look as wood, but at a better cost.
Custom Signs & Designs offers channel letters as a great way to showoff building names during the day and night time with neon or LED lights. Formed lettering is also another type of custom sign that can be created for a storefront, adding dimension to a flat face or sign.
Open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, the business was formerly housed in the Auto Zone shopping plaza when first opening in 2006 before moving to its current location in 2007 at 133 Garrett Way.
For more information about the business, or to place an order, call (478) 452-1256 or visit www.customsigndesign.net.
