Premiere Nails opens new, upscale salon

A long-established Milledgeville Nail Business has just opened up a brand new, luxurious location in the Milledgeville Mall.

Premiere Nails, a business that has been in the mall for 16 years, has moved from its former location to a larger, revamped salon space in between Walden Books and JC Penny's.

Although the business has only been open at its new location for about a week, owner Kim Mguyen said her customers' reactions to the new location have been great.

“All of my customers, they tell me that they just love it,” she said.

Mguyen, who moved to Milledgeville from Atlanta, said she moved here because she really wanted to live in a small town and heard about Milledgeville from a customer in Atlanta.

“I love it,” she said. “We chose to move here.”

The new salon is just her way of thanking customers for their loyal business, she said.

In addition, the new location provides ample room for the business’s needs.

“We really needed a bigger place,” she said.

The new location is a step up from the business’s former location.

“We tried to make everything updated,” she said.

Marble countertops, stained glass hanging lamps and murals that will take you away while you’re relaxing in the comfort of your pedicure chair gives this large-scale business an upscale, spa-like atmosphere.

However, the business is well known for affordable prices and even offers specials to college students and big groups, said Mguyen.

The business offers a combination Manicure and Pedicure for only $28, regular spa pedicures for $18 and manicures for $12.

Mguyen added that the newly revamped business includes the latest pedicure and massaging chairs that offer a clean, comfortable setting for customers.

Mguyen also said that the Deluxe Spa Pedicure is sure to be loved by customers, as it offers menu of aromatherapy options such as a lavender, rose or rosemary-mint salt soak.

Additionally, a full set of acrylic nails is only $24.99 and college students can get a full set of acrylic nails for only $19.99, she said.

The business also offers an array of waxing services for customers, she said.

Mguyen also said that her business can accommodate large parties and children.

With 12 staff members on hand on any given work day and plenty of pedicure chairs, the business provides customers who come in as a large group, perhaps for an event such as weddings or birthday party, a 10 percent discount.

Additionally, the business accommodates small children with small, children’s pedicure chairs that provide children with their own DVD player and TV screen.

Mguyen also said customers can come in and get a massage in one of the pedicure chairs for only $5 for a 20 minute massage.

The business is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sundays.
