MILLEDGEVILLE —
A former food and beverage manager at the Ritz-Carleton Hotel, Jason Medders wanted Milledgeville to have a taste of fine dining close to home. He started a franchise of Quiznos in Milledgeville six years ago, and decided in 2009 to open a restaurant to cater to a different set of tastes.
The sauces are made from scratch with the freshest ingredients, and the menu is changed seasonally to allow for fresher ingredients and season-appropriate recipes.
The design of the renovated 1884 bank building includes the original tin ceiling and bank vault that have been placed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
Aubri Lane's is beginning a Friday lunch starting Aug. 26. The lunch menu will feature plenty of the dinner favorites in smaller portions. Other lunch items will be offered as well. Lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The restaurant offers the same quality one would expect to find in a larger, metro restaurant, but for half the price.
Aubri Lane's will also have a Ladies Night on Tuesday with half off wine until 2 a.m. The restaurant is open from Tuesday until Saturday from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. for dinner.
Aubri Lane's is located at 114 S. Wayne Street and can be reached at (478) 454-4181.
