MILLEDGEVILLE —
The Milledgeville Applebee's will get a makeover along with other locations in the region according to the company that manages the restaurant.
The six restaurants, all located in the Macon metro area, will undergo interior and exterior renovations. They will be closed for three days and reopen with the upgrades, AmRest spokesperson Angela D'Amario said.
As part of the remodels, Applebee's is selling the old restaurants' artifacts and pictures to raise money to benefit various local charities. The window for the auction of items from the Milledgeville location is April 14-21. Proceeds will benefit Georgia College's GIVE Center.
The Milledgeville location will close Monday, April 23 and re-open Wednesday, April 25.
Some exterior work will be done while the restaurant remains open, but the majority of the work will be done at night and during the brief closure.
Other locations included in the regional makeover are two in Macon, one in Perry, Warner Robins and Dublin.
