Bug House prides itself on being fair, thorough and on the cutting edge of pest removal and extermination.
Bug House has been serving Central Georgia since 1993 and is owned by Mike Prosperi. The business has expanded to three other locations in order to better serve the Central Georgia area. Bug House is located in Eastman, Lake Oconee and Gray, providing the same level of service consumers have come to expect from the home office in Milledgeville.
“We really try to stay on the cutting edge in terms of equipment. We take the position of inspect first, locate the problem and then treat so as to avoid putting unnecessary chemicals in the environment,” said general manager Billy Matthews. Bug House offers a variety of services to meet the needs of the consumer.
“We do residential and commercial pest control and offer quarterly and monthly services. We also do termite work and can offer anything from comprehensive liquid systems to a Centricon baiting system,” Matthews said.
Bug House is also the only locally licensed wildlife removal service in Baldwin County. The team does bat removal and exclusion, muskrat den excavations and any other nuisance wildlife in the area. The business has been licensed to remove wildlife since 2008.
Bug House also handles insulation.
“We do commercial and residential insulation. We offer blown-in cellulose, which is a product made from recycled newspapers, blue jeans and other recycled materials. We also offer the traditional BATS insulation, as well as spray foam — which is the newest, most energy efficient product on the market.”
Bug House can add new layers of insulation to existing insulation in already constructed homes.
Bug House is locally owned and operated and prides itself on being active in the community. Owner Mike Prosperi is a member of the board of the Chamber of Commerce, the foundation board at GMC, and has served on the John Milledge Academy advancement board. General Manager Billy Matthews is a member of the Rotary club and is the president of the GMC Junior College Booster Club. The Bug House is a proud member of the Home Owner’s Association as well as the Chamber of Commerce.
A new program that recently debuted at the Bug House is called “Bug House Bucks.” This is a referral program that allows customers who refer a new customer to the Bug House to turn in their referrals for money off their next extermination service or cash.
