MILLEDGEVILLE — When it rains it pours in Baldwin County.

On Monday, it was announced that Baldwin High athletic director and head football coach Jesse Hicks handed in his resignation to take a position in another county.

According to Baldwin County Superintendent Geneva Braziel, Hicks put in his official resignation Monday. R.D. Harter, with the Dougherty County school board, stated Monday that more details will emerge this afternoon after they hold their board meeting to announce their next hire.

“He did resign today, and I have no idea what position he will be taking. As of now he’s still here, working and under contract," said Braziel.

Hicks compiled a 55-18 record during his six year stint at Baldwin High.

More on Jesse Hicks’ resignation will be featured in Tuesday’s Union-Recorder.
