Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Joe Pickett, Jr. of Milledgeville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Grace Pickett, to Ashley Harris Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Smith, of Milledgeville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bo Oakes, of Eatonton, Marie Pickett of McIntyre, and the late Bobby Joe Pickett, Sr. She is a 2002 graduate of Georgia Military College Prep School in Milledgeville and is enrolled as a nursing major at Macon State College.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Carrie Cox of Milledgeville, Alice Smith, of Macon, the late Jack Harris Cox and the late John M. Smith. He is a 2003 graduate of John Milledge Academy and a 2006 graduate of Georgia Military College where he received a degree in Business Administration. He is employed with Arcilla Mining and Land Company in McIntyre.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 28th, 2007 at Evergreen Plantation in Milledgeville.
